Chess Against Violence is a unique program that combines the game of chess with a focus on training students to think (that is, to identify, analyze and evaluate alternatives) before acting. The program teaches students to weigh the long-term risk against short-term temporary rewards.  This change in thinking processes will reduce and avoid violent reactions and provocations.

Chess Against Violence is a comprehensive instruction event culminating in a fun, competitive chess tournament. The program is designed for young people aged 10 – 16. Please consider donating to support our next event by clicking this Donate Button.
